Church Planting & Construction

Establishing new church congregations and building or constructing physical church facilities for them.

Church planting and construction is central to VGM's mission strategy. We believe that establishing local congregations — and providing them with physical facilities — is the most effective way to ensure long-term spiritual transformation in communities.

Since 2010, we have planted 160 churches across Uganda and South Sudan, including 8 churches in Wakiso District, over 12 in Kyegegwa District (Western Uganda), 30 across South Sudan refugee settlements, and 12 across Northern and Eastern Uganda. Each church is led by a trained pastor and serves as a beacon of hope in its community.

Our church planting process involves identifying unreached and unchurched areas, training church planters, establishing worship gatherings, and constructing physical church facilities — whether permanent structures or temporary shelters — so that congregations have a dedicated place of worship and community.
