Drilling & Construction of Water Wells

Access to clean water is a fundamental human need, yet many communities in Uganda and South Sudan lack safe drinking water. VGM's Water Wells program addresses this critical need by drilling and constructing boreholes — meeting a vital physical need alongside spiritual ministry in communities.

We have drilled 16 boreholes across our mission fields, providing thousands of people with access to safe, clean drinking water. Each borehole serves an entire community, reducing waterborne diseases and freeing up time previously spent fetching water from distant sources.

Clean water also enables better hygiene, improves school attendance (especially for girls who often miss school to fetch water), and demonstrates Christ's love in a practical, tangible way — supporting holistic ministry that ministers to both body and soul.
